Protect Our Turtles

These wonderful, gentle animals already face adversity even before they are born: poachers or predators steal their eggs for consumption. After they hatch, light pollution and bright lights close to beaches will confuse them, so they won’t find the ocean in time to get shelter, food and protection.

Sea turtles are in constant danger from floating plastic debris. Plastic gets inhaled, swallowed or they get their necks caught in it, which makes a slow and agonizing death.

Also, sea turtles (like other marine animals) can get caught in gill nets or on long lines. Being a responsible fishing operator is crucial for their protection.

There are many ways how we as humans can ensure that they’re around for a long time to come!

Is there something familiar about the picture above?

Just like all the other i2 pieces of art, it was created by reorganizing and duplicating these master shapes:

Remember, i2 has restricted herself to use only these shapes.
