Day 21: Tell Us About a Kind and Caring Soul!

They are out there – by the MILLIONS!
Every day, you can read or hear about someone who stood out.
Tell us about someone who made a difference.
A nurse maybe? A doctor, medical transport driver, postal worker, delivery person, fireman or woman, the helpful neighbor, an exceptional teacher. It is during a crisis, when the cream rises to the top.
You don’t have to go far to find them…
In fact, you don’t even have to leave your house! I am literally glued to social media, where I observe how people act and react. It’s amazing.
While a good portion of our fine society finds it necessary to selfishly complain, the BETTER half will quietly do an outstanding job at being a Mensch. They jump in to help, they do what they can.
Of course there are plenty such stories, even memes on facebook. Pretty popular stuff. Most of the time though, it’s some post that was shared by someone who found what someone else had shared. So that’s great, and it may be authentic and verifiable, but it’s too easily forgotten because it happened somewhere else.
Well, personally, I like finding stories of good people on NextDoor. Granted, in our neighborhood you can find a handful of complainers, or those who take it upon themselves to instruct others what to post and where. How they don’t get their fair share of benefits or attention or whatever.
You’ll have these in every town, anywhere on Earth. Not a big deal, and somewhere, their pesky posts may have some kind of merit, at least to them.
What I’m looking for specifically though, are people who do their good thing. Often anonymously, and without announcing it in a big way.
They just do it, so to speak. It is part of their personality, or ethics, or maybe good upbringing, if you will. They are our EVERYDAY heroes, who do not abandon their ways.
They are there, in small ways or big, without asking for a return.
I see countless people who are volunteering to help, especially since this COVID-19 thing kicked in.
Kind people who just want to help. They run errands, bring a meal to someone, cheer people up. You know what I mean. I’m sure you can share a couple of sentences about someone with a heart of gold…
Tell us about these heroes:
They deserve to be recognized, and they were meant to be an inspiration for all of us.
  • Who are they?
  • Why are they special?
  • What are they doing to make others more comfortable?
  • How can you rest easier because of them?
  • Where did you learn about them?
  • When did you first hear about them?

Share a little story, and warm our hearts. Keep the flame of kindness going, when you tell others about people with great attitude that are committing selfless acts of kindness.

They elevate our society, make the human race look better. They are our stellar examples of what we all should strive for!
